Tapestries will maintain their brilliant color and be safe to display in rooms with normal sunlight and humidity. But long-term direct sunlight will cause fading. In rooms with a high amount of humidity, such as a bathroom with a shower, it is best to keep it well ventilated. And tapestries in the kitchen can be damaged by heat or steam, so keep them away from the stove or oven.
Iron the tapestry from the back with a lot of steam. To iron from the front side, set the heat to medium and iron it while it is covered with a thin cloth.
Tapestries are most commonly hung with a rod. Since our tapestries are equipped with either a rod pocket or loops on top, it is easy to do. There are many styles of rods to match every kind of tapestry.
Vacuuming or shaking the dust out of a tapestry is recommended. If cigarette smokers live in your home, then your tapestry should be cleaned every four years. Tapestries containing Jacquard woven fabrics should be dry cleaned. When hand washing, we recommend products such as Woolite which will not harm the fabric. Never put a tapestry in a washing machine or dryer. Let it hang to dry.
